Celestine Cuisine By Jonathan Berman and Linda Sennett 1/1/2013 |
Animalcules of yesterday, siphoned through my soul
like water cautiously strained from ramen noodles
into a giant bowl
A cheap meal for a ravenous giant
so he adds in sprigs of thyme
and in time
boiling out the bubbles of solar systems, wrapped in onion layers
whose potency stings his eyes
He sops up the flowing solar flares that drip across his skies
and in the chill that follows
the stars whisper to one another in twinkles soft and shy
"always play with their minds..."
Minds like cats cradle strings, the machinations of eternity
strings that long to be moebius strips if only...
they could transcend their two dimensionality,
stretch beyond reality, and splay
into bliss.
